Jeremiah 3:1-4:18 / Col 1:1-18 / Psalm 76:1-12 / Proverbs 24:21-22

Standout verse:Jeremiah 3:12-13“Return, backsliding Israel’, says the Lord; ‘I will not cause My anger to fall on you. For I am merciful’, says the Lord; ‘I will not remain angry forever. Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have transgressed against the Lord your God, and have scattered your charms to alien deities under every green tree, and you have not obeyed My voice’, says the Lord.”

It is very possible to be saved and not walk with God.  We can love the Lord and have made the choice to ask Him into our lives, yet find ourselves caught in the business and trials of life, leaving Him on the sidelines.  It’s in those times when we find ourselves sliding backwards, dulled and highly vulnerable to enemy fire, temptation and compartmentalized sin.

Living with sin is like trying to walk around carrying a backpack filled with 100 pounds of bricks.  It slows us, causes us fatigue and cripples us.  Secrets and shadows can bind our hearts and keep us from experiencing all the "WONDERFUL" that our Heavenly Father has for us.

When we choose to walk through life with the weight of sin, guilt and shame, God gets mad FOR us (as opposed to getting mad at us) and stands ready with open arms to forgive us, cleanse us, FREE us and restore anyone whose heart is yielded to Him!  He is abundantly merciful, ready to forgive and wants to bring us back into fellowship and intimacy with Him NO MATTER WHAT WE HAVE DONE – this is ROCK SOLID TRUTH WE MUST STAND ON!
