Ezekiel 24:1-26:21 / Hebrews 11:1-16 / Psalms 110:1-7 / Proverbs 27:14
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. (V. 6) But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of thosewho diligently seek Him.”
Faith is looking to God’s promises, knowing His character, believing in His faithfulness to provide, and holding on to the truth even when we can’t “see”. A life of faith operates according to the plumb line set by God, knowing that as we keep our eyes on Him and our feet firmly planted on the path He’s set before us we can be peaceful, free, safe and we will become the people He created us to be.
A life of faith pleases God because it doesn’t demand immediate results, it’s not conditional on us getting what we want, it chooses to trust and obey even when the outcome is yet to be seen.
Faith says, “Lord, You are my Heavenly Father, my Provider, my Shield, my Strength. I believe You are working behind the scenes and that YOU ARE GOOD! Even though I can’t see or even understand what’s going on in my life right now, I will cling to You, listen for Your voice of direction and leading, and keep my mind stayed on You AS I WAIT WITH EXPECTATION!”
AS WE DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM, let us hold to the promise that He will lead, guide and provide (give us peace, heal our hearts, do “new” things in us and through us, strengthen our marriages and families, etc…) - A GREAT AND PRICELESS REWARD!
