Daniel 7:1-28 / 1 John 1:1-10 / Psalms 119:153-176 / Proverbs 28:23-24

Standout verse:

Daniel 7:21“I was watching and the same horn was making war against the saints and prevailing against them.”

We cannot allow Satan’s power to prevail!  Even now, we are in the midst of a ferocious spiritual battle here on earth.  Satan – the Father of lies, the enemy of our souls– is alive and well.  He is doing all he can to separate us from intimacy and relationship with our Heavenly Father. Rampant pornography can come into our homes with one simple “click” destroying marriages and weakening families.  Prescription drugs have become the first thing we reach for to sooth our wearied souls and have all too easily replaced the hope of a truly transformed mind and spirit that can only come by way of a deep and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.  Materialism and self-gratification has been celebrated to the degree that our culture has been numbed to anything that actually takes time

We want it all now, or not at all - we have become a drive-through, fast food culture. This doesn’t have to be the case.  The transforming power of God is far stronger than any of the schemes and lies the enemy can throw at us.  However, we must decide to stand on God’s truth and passionately pursue a deep and continually growing relationship with Him if we want to be able to stand on the solid rock that was made available to us at salvation.  We must ask the Lord to sharpen our resolve as we determine to walk in purity, by the power of the Holy Spirit, pursuing greater intimacy in our personal relationship with the Lord.  We need to rise up, take action and be a people who say “no” to Satan’s poison delicacies and “yes” to the Lord Jesus Christ who is, was and will be steadfast, unchangeable and all powerful.
