Psalm 108:12-13“Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies.”
When we find ourselves in trouble, one of the first things we tend to think is, “who can I call, who can I talk to?” We feel a burning need to seek the help and advice of others. While verbal and social support is something that God values and wants to give us, He wants us to run to Him for help first. Over and over the Bible says the help of man is useless when compared to the strong and mighty hand of God that covers us with safety and leads us through. God is all-powerful and all-knowing, whereas man is but a breath, confined by the limits of humanity.Let’s run to the Lord FIRST with our concerns, pain and needs. He is waiting for us, ready to answer those who believe in His power and ability to make a way through the storm. AS WE WAIT PATIENTLY FOR HIM – HE WILL ANSWER! HE WILL SHOW US WHAT TO DO, WHO TO TALK TO, AND THE NEXT STEP TO TAKE. He wants us to find our true peace and security in Him, our Father and Creator, not in the frailty of man.
