Daniel 11:40-12:13 / 1 John 4:1-21 / Psalm 123:1-4 / Proverbs 29:2-4
Standout verse:1 John 4:4“…because greater is He who is in you (God) than he who is in the world (Satan).”What a great and powerful truth! As believers in Jesus Christ, we must stand on the promise that, when we are walking in obedience to our Heavenly Father, pursuing Him, and growing in our relationship with Him, WE HAVE STRENGTH AND POWER AVAILABLE TO US, BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, THAT IS FAR GREATER THAN ANY TEMPTATION, FEAR, OR CHANCE FOR COMPROMISE THAT THE ENEMY WOULD THROW AT US. WE ARE NOT AT THE MERCY OF SIN! Yes, we live in bodies of flesh, but when we received Jesus as our Lord and Savior we received a new life and with it came the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our job is to walk closely each and every day with the Lord, listening to that “still small voice” (the Holy Spirit!) He gave each one of us when we asked Him to be the Lord of our life. It is only by His help, strength and power that we are able to live in a way that isn’t subject to our old sinful nature. We have received a new nature, the nature of Christ. As we grow in our relationship with Jesus we will also grow in our understanding of who is He has set us free to be. We will experience the renewal of the mind, the regeneration of our hearts and the ability to walk in obedience; overcoming the strongholds, temptations and lies that the enemy attempts to use to separate us from the power, promises and provision of our Father God.
