Zechariah 4:1-5:11 / Revelation 14:1-20 / Psalm 142:1-7 / Proverbs 30:21-23
“Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit.”
Sometimes we simply feel “out of gas”. The tasks we face ahead seem too big for us, overpowering and impossible. In these times we must as ourselves: “Is this (whatever it may be) what God is calling me to do?” This question is a super important one to figure out.
If the answer is “No” and we realize we’ve taken on too much or rushed ahead without asking the Lord if He wanted us to do it in the first place, than it’s no wonder we’d be feeling overwhelmed, unable and underequipped. It’s at this point we need to quickly look into eliminating things (activities, jobs, unhealthy relationships) that just simply need to go.
If the answer is “Yes”, and we truly can see God’s calling in a particular area, then we need to go to the Lord and ask Him for the strength we will need to complete the task with excellence or walk through the relationship or circumstance well.
We must remember this: GOD NEVER CALLS US TO DO SOMETHING WE ARE UNABLE TO DO. Apart from Him we would certainly be overwhelmed or crushed, BUT WITH HIM (BY HIS SPIRIT), HIS STRENGTH, STRATEGIES AND POWER, THERE IS NOTHING HE CALLS US TO DO THAT WE CAN’T ACCOMPLISH!
