Psalm 147:10-11, 13-14
“He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man, the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy. For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your children within you. He makes peace in your boarders, and fills you with the finest wheat.”
So much of the time we can find ourselves placing our hope and trust in earthly things: our jobs, careers, social status, material things, etc… While earthly things are not wrong in themselves, they can easily provide a false illusion of security. As Christians, we can get lulled into a sense of comfort and reliance on people, positions, and possessions that are temporary, conditional and, in just a moment, can fall apart at the seams.
God is all-powerful. He never changes, and never fails. HE IS OUR ULTIMATE SOURCE AND PROVIDER. He wants us to place our faith and trust in Him, allowing Him to lead and guide us IN EVERY AREA OF OUR LIVES. His leading is safe, sure and steady.
When we allow God His rightful place, He will give us vision and strategies for every aspect of life: Marriage, family, finances, career, etc…He promises to strengthen us, to bless our children, to make peace in our homes, and abundantly provide for us. Thank You Lord for Your awesome promises!
