1 Chronicles 4:1-5:22 / Acts 25:1-27 / Psalm 5:1-12 / Proverbs 18:19
Psalm 5:8“Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way straight before my face.”David is asking for the Lord to guide him, direct his path and make his way straight (clear) – a very worthy prayer! Even in the difficult and rocky stages of our lives - when we are in a passionate, living relationship with our God - He will give us the ability to walk through those times peacefully and sure-footed as we ask Him to direct our paths and lead us in the way He wants us to go.
When we are consistent in our relationship with the Lord, feeding on His truth, our “shaky steps” will begin to be strengthened, and we will become steady, confident and peaceful. God’s plans for us are anything but uncertain. All He asks is that we pursue Him and seek Him as He graciously leads us in the specific plans and purposes He has created us for.
