1 Chronicles 15:1-16:43 / Romans 1:18-32 / Psalm 10:1-7 / Proverbs 19:6-7

Standout Verse:

Romans 1:21-22, 25

“…because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.  Professing to be wise, they became fools. (V.25)…they exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever.”

God’s ways make perfect sense, just like a simple math equation.  If we know about God, visit Him on Sundays, and claim His name, but do so with 40% of our heart, we will never truly experience the full, fruitful life He created us to live.  Not only that, if we allow the world’s values to mingle and blend into the things we believe about God/”life in general”, our hearts will become dulled, confused and darkened to the truth about who God is and how He wants us to live.

Rather than living wisely, our divided thinking will cause us to live foolishly – things won’t go well for us and we’ll face heartache, pain, confusion and hopelessness.  Satan’s lies are FUTILE (useless, wasteful, frivolous, pointless, fruitless) and he loves it when we blame God for our troubles.  He wins when we choose to believe it’s God who has let us down, rather seeing that’s it’s our own mixed-up choices that have gotten us in a painful spot.

God asks us to pursue Him wholeheartedly (100%) and fill ourselves with His truth.  As we chose to not only “know about Him”, but really “know Him” and commit our hearts to Him and His ways, WE’LL GROW IN WISDOM, OUR HOPE AND PEACE WILL GREATLY INCREASE AND OUR FOUNDATION WILL BE UNSHAKABLY BUILT ON GOD’S TRUTH!  GOOD STUFF!
