Ezra 10:1-44 / 1 Corinthians 6:1-20 / Psalm 31:9-18 / Proverbs 21:3
Standout verse: I Corinthians 6:9&11
“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? (V. 11) And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ by the Spirit of our God.”
These verses talk about our lives prior to receiving the gift of salvation from Jesus Christ – lives that are morally corrupt, self-serving, filled with lust, pride, etc…It is a great passage that lays out the message of the Gospel.
When we come to know Jesus as our Lord and Savior, our past sins and offences are COMPLETELY washed away and WE ARE GIVEN THE GIFT OF A CLEAN, FRESH, BRAND NEW RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. Salvation not only brings about TOTAL forgiveness, we are able to stand before the Lord and enter into and relationship with Him completely purified! THERE IS NO DEPTH OF SIN, SHAME OR GUILT THAT CANNOT BE FORGIVEN AND ERASED BY GOD’S AMAZING LOVE AND FORGIVENESS!
ANYTHING CONTRARY TO THIS MESSAGE OF LIFE-SAVING TRUTH IS A LIE FROM THE ENEMY AND MUST BE TRAMPLED. God’s gift is free and available to us - It’s up to us to BELIEVE IT and RECEIVE IT! This is a beautiful message of hope for us all!
