Standout Verse: 1 Corinthians 7:19
“Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what matters.”

Sometimes we can find ourselves getting caught up in the appearance of our “spiritual resumes”…and, if we’ve checked all the appropriate “churchy boxes” and we're "lookin' good", then we’re feeling pretty good.  However, if that is how we measure our spiritual condition, we will quickly find there’s a great disconnect between our outward appearance and our heart and mind.

God's desire is that we willingly obey the things He calls us to because we trust Him.  We trust Him because we know Him and love Him.  And, we know Him and love Him because we are walking through life in a growing relationship with Him.  This is what matters MOST to Him.  The other “churchy” stuff is only good if it’s the “icing on top” of our ever-deepening, personal walk with the Lord!
