Ezra 1:1-2:70 / 1 Corinthians 1:18-2:5 / Psalm 27:7-14 / Proverbs 20:22-23

Standout verse:Psalm 27: 8,13-14

(v.8) “When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face (Lord) I will seek.” (v. 10-11), (v. 13-14) I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the livingWait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen Your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!”

What does it mean “to wait on the Lord”?  IT MEANS CHOOSING TO WALK THROUGH TRIALS WITH A MINDSET FIRMLY SET IN THE CONCRETE OF GOD’S TRUTH REGARDING WHO HE IS.  It’s a battle for our minds, and we must decide on our strategy before the wind and the waves come or we will easily be shaken.

THE TRUTH ABOUT GOD IS THIS:  He is GOOD, He LOVES us beyond our imagination, He wants GOOD THINGS for His children, HE WILL NEVER LEAVE US OR FORSAKE US, He promises to SPEAK TO US AND SHOW US “MARVELOUS THINGS” as we call out to Him and listen, He is not a God of confusion, but a God of PEACE and He promises to work ALL THINGS together for GOOD for those who love Him!

As the voice of the enemy whispers words of discouragement, depression, telling us we are alone, we will be equipped to rise up and say, “NO WAY, that’s a lie that will take me out if I let it in my mind.  I WILL NOT LISTEN TO THAT JUNK, I will continue to seek the Lord’s face knowing and believing that I will see His goodness in the land of the living!”

We MUST get crystal clear on God’s truth and keep it in the forefront of our hearts and minds.  Then, when tough times come, we will be able to walk through them waiting on God filled with HOPE & EXPECTATION, STRENGTH & COURAGE instead of hopelessness and despair; in danger of losing heart.
