Standout Verse:1 Corinthians 3:18-19

“Let no one deceive himself.  If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.  For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God”.

Often times, we can find ourselves “going to God” when we think it’s a situation He can handle.  We are a culture that has grown dependent on advice from the “experts”.  We plant ourselves in front of the TV each afternoon to see what the latest and greatest professional “advise–givers” are saying about all manners of issues from health to finances to mental dysfunction and find ourselves resting in the “wisdom” of their counsel. While this isn’t altogether bad, it can really mess us up if we find that we’ve closed our ears to the things God wants to show us as we busy ourselves searching for safety in the ideas of man.

God isn’t interested in leading and guiding “bits and pieces” of our lives.  He doesn’t specialize in one or two important areas and then say, “Wow, that’s a tough one, I have no idea what to do about that…maybe you should go visit a professional.”   That’s crazy!

The truth is, GOD HAS IDEAS, STRATEGIES, THOUGHTS AND PLANS FOR EVERY AREA OF OUR LIVES.  He’s not outdated, too old or out of touch.  On the contrary, He HOLDS THE KEYS to every single situation we will ever face. Next time we find ourselves in a challenging place, let us run to the Lord FIRST, seek His face and ask Him to “SHOW US GREAT AND MARVELOUS THINGS WE WOULD’NT KNOW ON OUR OWN (JEREMIAH 33:3) knowing and believing that HE WILL!  We can always be expectant and confident He will have the PERFECT plan to lead us through!
