Job 16:1-19:29 / 1 Corinthians 16:1-24 / Psalm 40:1-10 / Proverbs 22:1
“I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness in the great assembly; indeed I do not restrain my lips, O Lord, You Yourself know. I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed You lovingkindness and Your truth from the great assembly.”
Earlier in Psalm 40 it talks about how God hears our cries, and rescues us from a life of separation (here on earth and eternally) from Him. This terrible separation is described as a horrible pit, and miry clay – neither sound appealing. It then tells how God saves us, sets us on solid ground (Himself) and gives us a "new song" – a beautiful testimony of His faithfulness, goodness and love for us.
Some Christians say, “My walk with the Lord is personal and private…I don’t like to discuss it.” OR “God and I have our own thing going, I’m uncomfortable talking publically about it.” However, if we really understand what we’ve been saved from, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO BE SILENT. If we have truly been set free, understand what that means, and the massive blessings that come with this decision, we will be ready to passionately proclaim the saving, life-giving, lovingkindness of our Heavenly Father.
