Job 31:1-33:33 / 2 Corinthians 3:1-18 / Psalm 43:1-5 / Proverbs 22:8-9

Standout Verse:

Psalm 43:1-5

“Vindicate me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; oh deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!  For You are the God of my strength….why do I go about mourning because of my enemy?  Oh send out Your light and Your truth!  Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your tabernacle.  Then I will go to the alter of God, to God my exceeding joy; and on the harp I will praise You…Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God”.

We are living in some seriously crazy days – corruption, ungodliness and enemy fire are all around us.  It can be easy to find ourselves focusing in on the oppressiveness of what the enemy is doing, lamenting over the state of our nation and our world.

The great news is, there is NOTHING that takes our God by surprise.  He knows the days we are living in and sees the things we are facing and promises to HELP US, STRENGTHEN US AND LEAD US.  He is “at the ready” to pour out His LIGHT and TRUTH, blowing the lid on the darkness. He made each one of us “for such a time as this” and promises that as we cry out to Him, “He WILL show us great and marvelous things we do not know on our own”(Jeremiah 33:3) and help us navigate safely through these difficult times.

Even at this time in history (just as in every other time in history) we can be hope-filled knowing that AS WE STAY CLOSE TO OUR HEAVENLY FATHER, WE ARE SAFE, WE CAN EXPERIENCE GREAT JOY AND PEACE AND WALK STRONG AND FRUITFUL DESPITE ANYTHING THAT IS GOING ON AROUND US.
