Job 37:1-39:30 / 2 Corinthians 5:1-11 / Psalm 44:9-26 / Proverbs 22:13
“For we walk by faith and not by sight”.
There are a lot of things that we can’t see with our eyes: feelings & emotions, “what will happen next”, thoughts another person is thinking, and the secrets locked away in people’s hearts, just to name a few. Just because we can’t reach out and touch these things in NO way means they don’t exist. In fact, if we only believed in what we could see, our lives would be extremely “narrow”, unrelatble and greatly impaired.
Most people on this earth are intelligent and observant enough to acknowledge the reality of “good and evil”. Just like the wind, you can’t see “good” or see “evil” but their effects are undeniable! As Christians we live by faith and not by sight. Though we can’t see God with our own two eyes, the vast affects of His undeniable beauty, detail and reality surround us! And so it goes with Satan. We can’t see him, but we are literally bombarded by those things he relentlessly devises and throws at us.
Those things that are “seen” are temporary and over time will degenerate, decay and turn to dust, but God’s truth is rock solid, steadfast, unchanging and eternally lasting. As we put our faith in Him (the One who is unseen) we will KNOW and EXPERIENCE His great and powerful REALITY. He’ll change our hearts and lives, give us His authentic PEACE and JOY; walk with us each and every day, open our eyes to things we could never know on our own & lead us to do the things we were born to do.
Thank you Lord that even though we can’t see You, You ACTIVELY and FAITHFULLY prove Yourself over and over with Your REAL AND TANGIBLE PRESENCE IN OUR HEARTS, MINDS AND LIVES!
