Isaiah 37:1-38:22 / Galatians 6:1-18 / Psalm 65:1-13 / Proverbs 23:24

Standout Verse:Galatians 6:9“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”This is SUCH a great verse – it encourages and strengthens anyone who feels the fatigue of working hard without being able to see the fruit of their labor.

Psalm 127 says, “Unless the Lord build the house, the workers labor in vain.  Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchmen stay awake in vain”.  We can spin our wheels and grow weary quickly when we are filing our time, thoughts and energies participating in or building things that the Lord never called us to in the first place OR things that are empty and clearly oppose what the Lord says will bring us life.

A great question to ask ourselves is: does what I am doing with my time, energies, thoughts and labor line up with what is good and Godly - is it what God has called me to do?  If the answer is yes, and we are finding ourselves growing tired and weary, we need to know our Heavenly father wants this verse of strength and encouragement to be embedded in our minds!

He promises that as we keep doing “good” (the things He is calling us to do), never quitting, believing in faith that no matter how long or how much energy it takes to continue, at God’s appointed time (due season) we will reap (see the fruits of our labor…the PAYOFF) IF we don’t allow ourselves to fall into discouragement, give up or quit (lose heart).

So…let’s stand strong on this wonderful truth, be refreshed and NEVER GIVE UP on the things the Lord is calling us to.  EYE OF THE TIGER!!!
