Isaiah 42:1-44:23 / Ephesians 2:1-22 / Psalm 67:1-7 / Proverbs 23:29-35

Standout verse:
Isaiah 43:1-2“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.  When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.”As God’s children, we know that He has called us by our name (we are His!) and, because of that, we can embrace His promise to stay close to us and help us no matter what we are going through!

As He allows us to walk through times of challenge (that come with living in a fallen world, in broken bodies), we can be assured that He will use them to refine us, mature us, draw us closer to Him and/or convict our hearts of sin and lead us to repentance so we can be close to Him again.

When we remember that our Heavenly Father works ALL THINGS (including trials, pain and challenge) together for good for those that love Him and are called according to His purpose, we can look to Him EXPECTANTLY and TRUST HIM to lead us through the fire, knowing that He won’t allow us to be crushed – He will make us stronger and build our faith!  So GOOD!
