Exodus 30:11-31:18 / Matthew 26:47-68 / Psalm 32:1-11 / Proverbs 8:27-32

Standout Verse: Exodus 31: 1-6 (The Israelites are preparing to build the Tabernacle in the wilderness)

“ Then the Lord spoke to Moses saying, “See I have called by name Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.  And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge and in all manner of workmanship to design artistic works – to work in gold and silver and bronze…in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood and to work in all manner of workmanship.  And I indeed have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.  I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you.”

Sometimes God calls us to work on or accomplish something that is WAY beyond our knowledge, skill or ability.  We look at the task ahead and feel totally unequipped and totally inadequate. The truth is, on our own, there is no way we could succeed.

But here’s the deal:  God never calls us to do something and then walks away and leaves us to struggle.  He is right there beside us EVERY STEP of the way ready and willing to fill us with every bit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding we will need to do what He’s called us to!  Not only does He promise never to leave us or forsake us, He will fill us up and “gift our hands” for the task ahead IF we lean on Him recognizing it is only by HIS strength and HIS strategies that we are able to accomplish the things He’s calling us to!!

This applies to art, business, science, etc.  We as Christians have the God of the Universe on our side ready to fill us with His thoughts, His ideas, His creativity.  How unbelievably cool is that?  Let’s be people that are expectant, fired-up and ready for the Lord to do amazing work in us and through us!!
