Luke 5:15-16

"However, the report went around about Him all the more; and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by Him of their infirmities.  So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed."

As Jesus continued to minister the crowds grew larger and the demands on His time became even greater. Yet in the midst of the whirlwind He always found time to get away on His own and pray.  Even though He was the Son of God, he was well aware of His deep need to be alone with His Father.

The world we live in isn’t slowing down any time soon.  As the demands on our time continue to grow, we must be people who slow down, keep it simple and seek our God.  If we want to live strong and be fruitful, we must recognize our great need for Him and fill ourselves with His truth as we spend time with Him on a daily basis - just like Jesus did.
