Numbers 8:1-9:23 / Mark 13:14-37 / Psalm 50:1-23 / Proverbs 10:29-30
“So it was when the cloud remained only from evening until morning: when the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they would journey; whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud was taken up they would journey. Whether it was two days, a month, or a year that the cloud remained above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would remain encamped and not journey; but when it was taken up, they would journey. At the command of the Lord they remained encamped, and at the command of the Lord they journeyed; they kept the charge of the Lord, at the command of the Lord by the hand of Moses.”
The people of Israel learned to wait on the Lord. When He said to “move” they moved. When He said to “stay”, they stayed.
It’s so easy to get impatient or uncomfortable and find ourselves wanting to move ahead of the Lord. God calls us to TRUST Him and trust His TIMING for our lives. Remember, HE IS GOOD! He has amazing plans and purposes for our lives and He holds they keys to the awesome adventure He has planned for us. But, we must learn to wait, listen and move when He tells us to, not when we decide we should. His timing is BEST!
When we find ourselves in a tough, uncomfortable situation that seems long, painful or difficult, we must practice this:
Psalm 37:3-4 – TRUST in the LORD and DO GOOD, DWELL in the land and FEED on His faithfulness. DELIGHT yourself in Him and He will give you the desires of your heart!”
This guide on “WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU DON”T KNOW WHAT TO DO” may be a challenge at first, but as we are faithful to PRACTICE waiting on the Lord and His best timing for us, we will get better and better at it! Pretty awesome!
