Deuteronomy 23:1-25:19 / Luke 10:13-37 / Psalm 75:1-10 / Proverbs 12:12-14

Standout Verse:

 Luke 10: 21, 23-24

“In that hour, Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes.  Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.” (V. 23-24) Then He turned to His disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see.  For I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear and have not heard it.”

How great is it to know that we serve a God who is COMPLEX and AMAZING, but NOT COMPLICATED.  God promises that as we seek Him with open yielded hearts that desire to know Him and walk in relationship with Him, HE WILL SHOW US GREAT AND MARVELOUS THINGS WE DON’T KNOW ON OUR OWN! (Jeremiah 33:3).  He is straight forward and clear cut with the things He says…so much so that uneducated fisherman were able to understand the things He taught them and their lives were utterly transformed!

God desires our hearts to be His on a PERSONAL, foundational level…even if we don’t have a theology degree!! :0)

He loves to take SIMPLE PEOPLE (most of us!) and make us WISE (Psalm 19:7) – not through books, study and academics (although those things can be helpful) but through seeking Him, walking with Him, and digging in to His inspired Word.  He wants us to SEE and HEAR the things He is showing us and transform our lives as we grow in our understanding of Him!  So cool!
