Deuteronomy 29:1-30:20 / Luke 11:37-12:7 / Psalm 78:1-25 / Proverbs 12:19-20

Standout Verse:

Deuteronomy 30:2-3, 8-9

“…when you return to the Lord your God and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul, that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you…(v.8) And you will again obey the voice of the Lord and do all His commandments which I command you today.  The Lord your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, in the produce of your land for good.  For the Lord will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoices in your fathers!”

So good!  The Lord is ready and willing ALWAYS to receive us back.  He is loving and compassionate and rejoices in us when our hearts are turned and yielded to Him.

Just like the story of the Prodigal Son, our loving Father waits for us to run into His arms and live our lives with Him.  There is nothing we’ve done that God isn’t ready and willing to forgive and restore.  He loves to take broken things (broken hearts, broken lives) and make them BEAUTIFUL again!

God our Father is FULL of compassion and love for us (His children) – there is nothing that delights Him more than when we live in fellowship with Him.  If we’ve taken a detour and found ourselves far from Him, the invitation is ALWAYS OPEN and His heart is ALWAYS ready to receive us back so we can again get on the adventure we were born for…ABUNDANT LIFE WITH HIM!!
