I Samuel 12:1-13:23 / John 7:1-29 / Psalm 108:1-13 / Proverbs 15:4

Standout Verse:

John7: 37&38

“On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. He who believes in Me as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow living water."

Our input determines our output. If we fill ourselves with junk we will have a junky outlook and output. THE WORLD OFFERS MANY SOLUTIONS FOR THE THIRSTY SOUL BUT THEY ALL END UP LEAVING US MORE SELF-CENTERED AND THIRSTY.  They provide temporary relief but won't sustain us or bring real life.

Jesus said "I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE."  As we continue to open our hearts to His presence and leading in our lives the fruit of The Holy Spirit grows and our output becomes more loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, gentle, kind, good, faithful, and self controlled.

It's not complicated - we become what we behold, look at and take in. If we look to the media saturated world for relief we will become more like it. But if we consistently look to Jesus, our hearts will become more like His and from it will flow the good stuff, living water.
