Judges 13:1-14:20 / John 1:29-51 / Psalm 102:1-28 / Proverbs 14:15-16
Proverbs 14: 15-16
“The simple believes every word, but the prudent considers well his steps. A wise man fears and departs from evil, but a fool rages and is self-confident.”
In this context the word “simple” means, naïve, lacking understanding and wisdom. This kind of “simple living” refers to when people believe they can mix and coexist with all manner of beliefs, and digest all manner of indulgences without their foundations being affected or damaged.
GOD CALLS US TO RICH, GREEN, FRUITFUL FULFILLMENT THAT BY-PASSES SELF-INFLICTED HEARTACHE.
When we truly walk with the Lord, listen to His voice, know His truth and choose to walk in it “considering well our steps” we will learn to identify and hate evil from the start and simply “depart from it”.
